i'm just that into AMC theatres

On my latest visit to the theatres, I was both pleasantly surprised and annoyed.  

The movie theatre speakers were a little messed up in the previews and I was hoping it would fine by the time the movie started, which it did (sort of).  

The real annoyance though was when the film was shown.  I went to see the movie He's Just Not That Into You. 

What it's about? The story follows 3 plots.  A group of interconnected, Baltimore-based twenty- and thirtysomethings navigate their variou

s relationships from the shallow end of the dating pool through the deep, murky waters of married life, trying to read the signs of the opposite sex - and hoping to be the exceptions to the "no-exceptions" rule.  The movie is shot in clip formatting which switches back and forth between the characters and stories.  

So, what happened?  Near the beginning, close to the middle of the movie while switching to the next clip "party scene" where you can hear the Maroon 5 blaring - all of sudden switches to  another scene with different characters and the scene is completely out of place and then the movie proceeds to show the scene where Maroon 5 is playing.  My friends and I were confused, we weren't sure if we had missed a scene, what was happening, but I assured them that this had to be the scene because of the music and that was probably scene to come.  The problem, the rest of the movie was ruined.  That duplicate scene led me to figure out EXACTLY what was going to happen in the plot of Jennifer Aniston and Ben Affleck's character.  I had it all tied up in a package with a pretty bow...and sure enough, my predictions were exactly right.

What to do: We simply approached the AMC booth and mentioned they might want to check out the film as there was a duplicate scene that reveals the ending.  The AMC representative was confused, as he stated it was hard to get duplicate scenes in movies because of the process in which they are viewed, but called his tech guy to confirm the situation.  Yes, a duplicate scene and the representative immediately pulled out AMC coupons to offer us free admission to our next movie there.  That's great customer service, especially 

since we didn't even ask for anything, we just wanted to make sure other audience go-ers movie didn't get ruined like ours.

Lowdown:  AMC theaters  (Winston Churchill location) is the bomb diggity, and don't pretend like you didn't like that expression.  The movie He's Just Not That Into You is a really cute movie, and it seems that AMC theaters are the exception to the rule ;)
